The Nitty Gritty
The Half Marathon will start at 7am and with a staggered start. Runners will be assigned start times based on your estimated finish time. The course will remain open for 3 hours and 16 minutes, closing on a continuous pace of 14:57 minutes per mile. If you are unable to maintain this pace, please e-mail us immediately at [email protected] to work out a solution for you. You may be asked to move off the course and continue as a pedestrian as the course must reopens to traffic.
We will have 7 aid stations on the course, each stocked with water and Gatorade. Select locations will also offer fruit, salty snacks, and various flavored HUMA Gels. Each aid station will have at least one port-a-pot and a SELF HELP Kit with basic runner amenities.
The following items are not permitted on the course: pets, skateboards, bicycles, roller blades, baby joggers, and any other type of vehicle (other than official race vehicles). These regulations are for your safety and the safety of the other participants in the race. Corrigan Sports reserves the right to disqualify and remove anyone from the course who has any of the above items. Headphones are strongly discouraged,
The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this race. To enjoy all that our race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, the Corrigan Sports encourages a headphone-free environment during the running of all its race distances.
We believe your race experience and those around you will be greatly enhanced by leaving the headphones at home or in the car. Running headphone-free allows opportunities to develop camaraderie with your fellow runners and to enjoy everything the race has to offer. Plus, volunteers and spectators will be on course cheering you on and providing directions to help get you to the finish line.
Runner safety has always been, and will continue to be, a top priority for this event. Please be mindful of the other participants and respect the race personnel to ensure a safe and enjoyable race for everyone. If wearing an iPod or other audio device results in you being unable to hear verbal instructions or commands, approaching vehicles or course marshals on foot or on bicycles, you may be asked to relinquish the device.
Bib Number Requirements
THERE IS NO RACE DAY BIB PICK UP.
All registered participants will receive bib numbers that must be worn on race day. Please fill in the necessary medical and emergency contact information on the back of the bib number with a pen or waterproof marker. The bib must be worn on the front outside of all clothing during the entire race, clearly visible for the race officials and photographers. Bib numbers are nontransferable and must be worn by the registrant to whom it has been assigned.
The timing chip is adhered to the back of the bib. Do not alter the bib/timing strip in any way! Without a bib, your time will not be recorded. Do not cross the finish line more than once. If you drop out of the race, please notify a course official. You will be transported back to the stadium. DO NOT CROSS THE FINISH LINE. There is no need to return your bib/timing chip after the race.
Race Premium Pick Up
There will be multiple packet pick up locations days prior to race day. Locations, dates and times for satellite packet pick-up are TBD.
RACE PHOTO FOR PARTICIPANTS
MarathonFoto has earned its place as the premier name in race event photography with over 35 years of experience, a staff of over 150 professional photographers, and over 3,000 races and counting. Participants will have the ability to purchase an assortment of high-resolution digital downloads and customizable photo products.
PHOTO TIPS: Be sure to wear your bib on the front to ensure the photographers capture your bib number in the photos and keep your race bib uncovered and in clear view. We recommend stopping your watch a few seconds after crossing the finish line so it may be possible to identify your photograph. Be sure to stop by the finisher’s photo station just after you cross the finish line to capture the moment!
