RUNNING VIRTUALLY

The 2024 Frederick Running Festival is scheduled to be a live race BUT we are excited to announce that the 2024 race will also have a virtual component! This is a great way to still get involved with the 22nd anniversary celebration, whether near or far! With 5 great virtual distances, the 5k, the Team Relay, and Half Marathon, there’s something for everyone. So get registered today and then check out the next steps below!

I REGISTERED TO RUN VIRTUALLY… WHAT NEXT?!

1.) CHECK OUT OUR SOCIAL TEAM PROGRAMGet your friends to join the race! Once your team reaches 10 people, you all get a $10 discount! For more information see our social team page.

2.) JOIN OUR VIRTUAL COMMUNITY (coming soon!). We’ll be creating a special Virtual Run Frederick Run Fest Facebook Group to encourage the community race day feel we all know and love. The page will have all the information you need to complete your run, as well as interactive activities, encouragement & race day tips.

While most of our virtual fun will happen on our Facebook page, you can also join us on our other social media accounts. You can find us on Instagram at @FrederickRunFest and Strava @Frederick Running Festival.

We’ll also be sending out need to know information through emails.

2.) Prepare for your race day:

  • Download your bib on Run Sign Up
  • Make sure to download RaceJoy  to get the complete race day experience!
  • Keep checking out our online run community for tips, tricks and fun

3.) How to Run virtually:

We’re encouraging everyone to complete their race on May 5th for a true race day feel. However, you’re free to do your race ANYTIME, ANYWHERE!

You  may use whatever timing and distance tracking method/app that you chose. You are not required to submit your time, however if you want your time posted online, you must submit your time on Run Sign Up by May 6th . Regardless of whether or not you submit your time, you will get your premium and medal.

4.) Enjoy your SWAG!

Your swag will be mailed to you in May!
