Frederick Run Fest Rescheduled
3/16/2020: As a precaution to combat the spread of COVID-19 last night the CDC issued national guidelines prohibiting events that consist of 50 or more people for the next eight weeks. As a result, the 2020 Frederick Running Festival will be RESCHEDULED.
CSE staff will immediately begin to explore the possibilities of rescheduling the event to later this year as well as offering a virtual option. We will provide updates on an interim basis, then offer runners options once our new date is selected and other vital processes are finalized.
After the new date is secured, your options will include:
· Running the rescheduled race date
· Deferment to 2021 (with limited timeframe of waived fees)
· A Virtual Run
We ask for your patience as our partnering local health officials must prioritize their time to deal with the immediacy of the pandemic. We are grateful for their heroic efforts to serve their communities.
We know many of you have trained and made sacrifices for months in anticipation of a great personal accomplishment. This is an unprecedented global public health issue and we must do our part to act responsibly and protect our runners, volunteers, fans, sponsors and staff.
Per our policy, which every runner agrees to during the registration process, we do not offer refunds.
