Supported Course Training Runs

ON-COURSE TRAINING RUNS SCHEDULED Frederick Steeplechasers to Provide Support |
In 2012, we will continue our long standing tradition of hosting supported on-course training runs to help you prepare for race day. With the help of the Frederick Steeplechasers, we will schedule four supported course training runs prior to race day. The runs are FREE and open to the public and will include varying distances. Prior to each run, Certified Chi Running Instructor Mark Lawrence will be on hand to provide some race related tips and tricks that will also help prepare you for the Big Day in May.

The Steeplechasers will provide water/Gatorade stops on the course as well as some turn-by-turn maps for the suggested distances. Keep in mind you are free to adjust the distance to better fit with your individual training schedule but support cannot be guaranteed in those cases. It is also worth noting that these are NOT CLOSED COURSES so we ask that everyone adhere to traffic rules and use common sense while running on the streets.
NOTE: On March 25, we are offering our training runners the chance to be part of the Frederick Rescue Mission Ten Miler. We WILL NOT be offering our own run that day. However, all runners who attend the training run on Feb. 19 and/or March 4 will receive a coupon code good for 20% off the entry fee. YOU MUST attend one of these two training runs to get the coupon code.
* This training run will be held on a SATURDAY. All other runs are on Sundays.
We are thrilled that the Frederick Steeplechasers have stepped up to help us continue the tradition of being able to provide these opportunities and hope you will join us on our training runs! More detailed information will be posted on our website and in next month's e-news
