Active has implemented some new measures that will help protect both the event and their registrants. Below is a screenshot of the waiver page, requiring a registrant to type in their name—which serves as a form of an electronic signature. The registrant should be able to click in the box to type. If space allows, you may register for the Half Marathon or Team Relay during the Health & Fitness Expo on Saturday, May 5th. There will be no race day registration.
If space allows, you may register for the Kids Fun Run or the 5k Saturday, May 5th.
NUT JOB CHALLENGE: Receive a $5 discount on your registration fees if you sign up for the 2-Person Relay or Half-Marathon and the 5K. You must register for both events online at the same time to receive the discount.
MARYLAND DOUBLE: Receive special discounts if you sign up to run the half or full marathon distances during both the Frederick and Baltimore Running Festivals. We double dog dare you to try both! Rates are outlined below, but you must sign up for both events at the same time online when you register for Frederick to receive the discount. Discount is built into the online price. Finishers of both races to earn the GIANT Maryland Double Medal upon completion of the Baltimore event.

TITAMIUM GIRL CHALLENGE: You MUST register for both events separately. Medals will be distributed in following the Frederick Running Festival in the Celebration Village. You must finish both races and present your Frederick Medal and proof of an Iron Girl finish. (*We will have a list of finishers, but having your own proof with speed the process.)

RELAY TEAM REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT!! -- TEAM RELAY REGISTRATION IS A TWO STEP PROCESS. YOU MUST FIRST CREATE A TEAM, THEN ADD THE RUNNERS TO THAT TEAM. TEAM CAPTAINS WHO RUN AS PART OF THAT TEAM MUST ALSO ADD THEMSELVES AS A PARTICIPANT OF THAT TEAM. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE TEAM RELAY:

Step 1. Create and Pay For Your Team

Go to http://www.active.com/framed/event_detail.cfm?event_id=1994115 and click on the “Register Now” button.
Select the category called: RELAY TEAM CREATION TOOL. This stepmust be completed before any members can be added to your team.
Agree to the waivers and click continue
Complete the registration form and click continue
NOTE: On the form, there is a question asking the names of team members. THIS DOES NOT REGISTER THEM. This is a necessary question to help us find mis-matched team members should someone register for the wrong team.
Submit Payment. You have now created and paid for your team.

Step 2. Joining Your Team

DON’T FORGET!! If you are also participating as a member of the team you must also register as a team member after you create your team. Follow these steps to join your team.

Go to http://www.active.com/framed/event_detail.cfm?event_id=1994115 and click on the “Register Now” button.
Select the category called: Team Relay - TEAM MEMBER REGISTRATION
Agree to the waivers and click continue.
Select YOUR team name from the Select a Team drop down menu at the top of the form. (If your team name does not appear, you or your team captain must first complete Step 1 and Create & Pay for Your Team)
Complete the registration form.
Click the “Submit” button to complete your registration. (No payment is due as the team captain has already paid the team’s entry fee when they completed Step 1)

If you have forgotten your username and password go to http://www.active.com/password_recover.cfmand type in your email address. Your username and password will be sent to you. If you have any other questions, please contact customer support at support@active.comor 888-543-7223, ext 4.

DEFERMENT AND DOWNGRADE PROCEDURES

We all know that injuries often arise during training after we have registered for a race. The Frederick Running Festival has different options should this happen to you. We ask that you make your decision as early as you can to avoid issues and possible loss of fees.

DEFERMENT
If you become injured and cannot participate in any capacity, you may defer your race entry until 2013. There is a $25 processing fee to do so. To take advantage of this offer, please mail a note stating your request along with a check payable to the Frederick Running Festival to the address listed at the bottom of this page. This process cannot be completed via email or phone as we need written confirmation and payment to process your request. In early 2013, you will receive a customized race application in the mail that you must return to the event headquarters to complete the process. ALL DEFERMENT REQUESTS MUST BE RECEIVED WITH PAYMENT BY APRIL 20th.

DOWNGRADE
If you cannot complete the distance you registered for but would still like to participate in the Frederick Running Festival, you may downgrade to a lesser distance. You will not be given a refund for the difference in entry fee. To do so, please call (410.605.9381) or email (customerservice@corrigansports.com ) your request and we will make the change in the system. Your new race confirmation will be listed on our online confirmation page. We encourage you to make this decision early as possible as we cannot add runners to an event once its capacity is reached.

The Frederick Running Festival does not allow refunds or transfers of any entry fee.
