The Kids Fun Runs will be held on Saturday, May 5th, on the Frederick Fairgrounds track. Prior to the race, all participants must pick up their race number. This can be done at the EXPO on race day in Building 9 between 10am and 4:30pm. Participants should stage with their age group in the Kids Zone located in the infield near the inflatable games. Groups will begin to walk to their respective start-line 15 minutes prior to the start of the race. There will be three separate distances in the Kids Fun Run:

The color code for each age group will coordinate with the race number.
Each fun run race number includes a Parent Tear-Tag with your child’s race number on it. Please remove this and give this to the person who will meet your child at the finish-line. They will need to show this to release your child from the finish corral. Further, parents should fill out the medical and emergency contact information on the back of the race bib AND INCLUDE A CELLPHONE NUMBER so we may contact you if you become separated from your child.
Starting the Kids Fun Run
All races will start promptly at the time indicated. All participants should meet in the Kids Fun Zone, located on the infield of the track, at least 15 minutes prior to their designated start time. Runners will be escorted to their appropriate start line by race staff. Parents are encouraged to run the course with their child. Parents of children 5 years old & under are required to run the course with their child.
Finishing the Kids Fun Run
Upon completion of the race, participants will be corralled in a holding area at the finish. Parents are asked to join their child here and escort them directly to the Kids Zone to receive their finisher’s medal. In addition, drinks and snacks will be available in the Fun Zone.
