Runners need to bring a copy of their E-Registration email – printed or screenshot on their phones. This will be emailed out on April 29, 2019 by 4pm.
First off, Don’t panic! E-Registration emails (with bib number) will not be sent to the email box that you used when you registered until April 29th by 4pm If it is AFTER this date and time, Please check your spam/junk folder first and then email [email protected] for troubleshooting tips.
Runners who pick up their race bib at the Health and Fitness Expo on Saturday, May 4 should pick up their premium that day. Runners who pick up at a satellite location will receive their premium outside in the Runner’s Village after they finish.
Please Note: 5K runners MUST pick up their race premium prior to 5pm on Saturday – premiums will not be distributed after the 5K race.
The Kids Fun Run will be held at 5pm on Sat., May 5. We will have two race distances available for children ages 12 and under. Kids ages 8 – 12 will run 1/2 of the track (about 1/2 mile). Kids age 7 and Under will run 1/4 of the track (about 1/4 mile). Both distances finish at the same finish line as the adult races. All Kids Fun Run distances are untimed.
Yes, if you would like to upgrade to a longer distance you may do so by paying the price difference here – select “transfer registration” to begin the process of upgrading.
The deadline to upgrade is Friday, April 26th at 11:59pm.
Yes, if you would like to downgrade to a shorter distance you may also do so by managing registration here – select “transfer registration” to begin the process of downgrading.
Please Note: there is not a refund of fees for downgrading.

No, unfortunately we do not allow transfers or refunds. You may defer your entry to 2020 here, note there is a $25 deferral fee.

If you are unable to run the race in 2019 for any reason you may move your entry to 2020. The fee to defer is $25 and will cover the total cost of your registration for the following year in the same race. You may also do so by managing registration here. The deadline to defer is April 16, 2018 at 11:59pm.
Please Note: If you are registered for multiple races as part of a package i.e Nut Job, MD Double, King Crab by deferring your entry you defer ALL your races until next year. If you wish to break apart your races before deferring please contact [email protected] – please make your request at least 3 days prior to the deferral deadline to allow time to unlink your races.
Yes, please login to your team registration. You can remove members by selecting the small x mark next to their information. Add members by selecting “Join Team” and filling out their information, or provide the team member with your team password so they can register themselves.
After online registration closes changes must be made at packet pick up.
No, we do not mail any race packets.
Yes, you may have a friend or family member pick up your packet for you if needed. They will need: your E-Registration email and a copy of your ID. Both can be images on their phones.
You can receive your premium item if you come to Health & Fitness Expo with your e-registration email on Saturday, May 4th. Premium items will not be mailed.

The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this race. To enjoy all that our race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, the Frederick Running Festival encourages a headphone-free environment during the running of the event
Runners competing for awards or prize money may not use headphones of any kind, and will not be eligible for any award or prize money if such a device is worn. USA Track & Field Rule 144.3, states that the visible possession or use by athletes of video, audio, or communications devices in the competition area (which includes iPods, MP3 and other musical devices) is considered assistance and is therefore are prohibited.
If you chose to use headphones, please be respectful of the other participants and the race officials by keeping your volume to a minimum. If wearing headphones results in your being unable to hear verbal instructions or commands from race officials, you will be asked to relinquish the device.
