Sponsors, volunteers, and spectators will provide live entertainment throughout the course. From music and costumes, to signs and cheering, participants will be entertained from the start to the finish!

How To Be A Great Spectator

  • Make noise to encourage the runners: cheer, clap, or play music
  • Cheer for everyone!  Calling out names or bib numbers is great.
  • Position yourself on a hill or more challenging portion of the course, where runners will need the most encouragement.
  • Make distinctive signs and move to different locations throughout the course. Runners will remember you!
  • Do something to make runners smile. Laugh, sing, dance, wear a costume, etc.
  • Runners love snacks!  Candy is always a welcome sight on the course.
  • Have a party with friends and neighbors if the course travels past your area.

Other Tips To Keep In Mind

  • Prepare for the weather and be dressed to stay outdoors for a long period of time.
  • If you see a runner who needs some help or medical attention, please inform a course monitor or volunteer. If the runner's injury looks serious, call 911 immediately.
  • Please do not crowd the runners by standing in the street.

Finish:  Journey back through downtown to get back over to the Fairgrounds for the finish.
