What time does the race start? The Half Marathon and Team Relay start at 7:00am on Sun., May 6; The 5K starts at 6pm on Sat., May 5 The Kids Fun Run will be held at 5pm on Sat., May 5
When is the Health & Fitness Expo? Sat., May 5, 2012 from 10am-6pm at the Frederick Fairgrounds in Building 9.
What do I need to bring to pick up my bib? Runners need to bring a copy of their E-Registration Card. This will be emailed out April 27th. You must print this out and bring it with you or show it on your electronic device at bib pick up.
I can not access my E-Registration Card. Don't panic. Please check your spam box first and then email customerservice@corrigansports.com with your full name, date of birth and zip code. Most likely there is a typo in your information preventing you from accessing your card.
When do I get my Race Premium? Runners who pick up their race bib at the Health and Fitness Expo on Saturday will have the option to get their shirt then. Runners who pick up at a satellite location or race morning will receive their shirt outside in the Celebration Village after they finish.
When is the Kids Fun Run and how long is it? The Kids Fun Run will be held at 5pm on Sat., May 5. We will have three race distances available for children ages 12 and under. Kids can compete in either the 1/2 mile, 1/4 mile, or the Toddler Trot. All events are untimed.
Can I upgrade to longer distance race? Yes, if you would like to upgrade from the 5K or Team Relay to the half marathon, please send a check made payable to Corrigan Sports, for the price difference between the two races.
Can I downgrade to a shorter distance race? Yes, if you would like to downgrade to a shorter distance, please send an email requesting a downgrade to customerservice@corrigansports.com. There are no refunds for downgrades. We accept downgrades until April 15th, or until the race sells out.
I cannot make the race this year; can I get a refund or transfer my race entry to another participant? No, unfortunately we do not allow transfers or refunds. You may be able to defer until 2013.
I cannot make the race this year due to a medical injury; can I defer my entry until 2013? Yes, if you have a valid medical reason you can defer your entry until 2013. Simply print a deferment form here and mail to Corrigan Sports with the $25 processing fee. Deferment Forms MUST BE received by April 20th to be accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
I have a team in the Relay and my teammate can no longer participate. Can I replace them with another person? Yes, please have the NEW team member fill out THIS FORM. Forms MUST BE returned by April 15th to be properly entered into the system. Final edits can be made at the HELP DESK in the expo.
Can I have my race packet sent to me? No, we do not send out any race packets. Race day Packet Pick Up is available for the first 200 registrants.
I am unable to attend the Health & Fitness Expo; can someone pick up my packet for me? No, each runner must pick up their own packet. We offer various satellite packet pick up locations as well as race morning pick up for the first 200 people to register for it.
I cannot make the race, but I would still like to receive my premium item. You can receive your premium item if you come to Health & Fitness Expo on Saturday, May 5th. Premium items will not be mailed.
I goofed. Can I change information (address, email, name, age, etc) on my registration? Yes. If you need to change information on your registration please send an email to customerservice@corrigansports.com by April 24th. You can also make edits at the HELP DESK in the expo.
I have not received a confirmation email, how can I make sure I am registered? To see if you are registered http://www.active.com/uploads_search.cfm?upm_id=3781. If you still do not see your name please send an email to customerservice@corrigansports.com requesting confirmation of your registration.
Can I wear headphones during the race? The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this race. To enjoy all that our race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, the Frederick Running Festival encourages a headphone-free environment during the running of the event
Runners competing for awards or prize money may not use headphones of any kind, and will not be eligible for any award or prize money if such a device is worn. USA Track & Field Rule 144.3, states that the visible possession or use by athletes of video, audio, or communications devices in the competition area (which includes iPods, MP3 and other musical devices) is considered assistance and is therefore are prohibited.
If you chose to use headphones, please be respectful of the other participants and the race officials by keeping your volume to a minimum. If wearing headphones results in your being unable to hear verbal instructions or commands from race officials, you will be asked to relinquish the device.
